There are six charter Sites of the D.C. Orbit Network. The Web Sites in the the Network emphasize 'Washington specific' information. Collectively these Sites offer timely, comprehensive, and detailed information related to Washington's political and public affairs - broadcasts of Congressional Hearings over the Internet, information about Congress and the Federal Agencies, legislative and regulatory updates, and information about Washington's diplomatic community, the city itself. On April 1, 1998, D.C. Orbit announced a new Network Sponsor -- The Credit Union Campaign for Consumer Choice, a united effort by the nation's credit unions to ensure consumer choice in financial institutions. The Campaign for Consumer Choice has made possible both live and on-demand access to the Network webcast of the Senate Banking Committee's April 2, 1998 Hearing on the recent Supreme Court decision regarding Credit Unions.
